I absolutely adore the Morris Arboretum nestled in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia.  I’ll visit any chance that I’m in town.  And when I was called up to shoot this beautiful young family, I knew that it would be the perfect location.   Once again, this stunning setting did not disappoint.

I’ve been photographing Steve, Lily and Nora for a long time now.  They are such a vibrant and fun family and this occasion was extra special because we were marking baby Nora’s first birthday.  We set up for the birthday shoot right in the English Rose Garden and don’t you know it, the skies opened up with heavy rain.  That’s okay though because with a gorgeous setting and a willing family, beautiful images can still be captured.

Baby Nora thoroughly enjoyed playing in the rain and strolling through the gorgeous gardens.  Eventually, the rain cleared and we did have a chance to capture a beautiful family play session on a blanket. Nora even showed off her new walking skills.

All in all, we had a beautiful family photo session and caught some wonderful images to mark Nora’s first birthday.

Feast your eyes on this lovely and memorable session… Bethesda-Baby-Photographer-Carrie-Collins
